At Home Math

Hello, welcome to the world of mathematics! At Intervale School we work hard to foster strong mathematical minds. If you think about it, math is all around us.  Whether you are at the store estimating and finding the total sum of items you are purchasing, or in the kitchen cooking, you are applying your math skills.  This is a great opportunity for you as a parent to model and share your mathematical skills with your child.

Parents can also help their child by checking homework and reviewing skills and concepts regularly at home.  Basic math facts are at the heart of all mathematics. Please practice them with your children. The district has purchased the program Reflex Math  and Frax Math.  Reflex Math is designed to increase fact fluency in addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.  Frax Math helps students build and deepen their understanding of fraction concepts.  Your child can access this program through Clever at home and work on fluency as well as fraction concepts. These are some other great websites that can incorporate and reinforce mathematics at home!
